I’m Still Here, at Chelsea’s Place

Yellow: The lightest hue, is seen psychologically as the happiest color, and has been shown to relieve depression, and even encourage communication. In France, yellow signifies betrayal and jealousy. The Chinese associated yellow with pornography. In Japan, yellow signifies bravery, wealth and refinement. Some areas of Mexico associate a more marigold yellow with death and loss, and those condemned to die during the Inquisition wore yellow to symbolize their mutiny.

This series is compiled of photo-documentation, images of objects that signify an experience, overlaid with the theory of a dis-engaging color effect, a color filter to disarm and neutralize a difficult memory. The images are a cataloging of experience, loss, injury, etc., these images are the 'product' of the experience, 'stand-ins' that disassemble and reduce the emotionality but provoke the imaginative aspect of a photo documentation process.
