RIALTO.
Rialto is the exploration of vivid youth of two artists working closely in their home city of Tacoma, WA c.2019. The collaborative piece, in its final form a book of prose, poetry and avant-garde rhetoric, accompanied by hundreds of analogue images, developed and printed each night in the confinements of a hallway closet, illustrates the wild experiences of the artist when fully involved with their environment and practice. The images are sadly only half, if that, of the story. The texts that joins these images sets the imagination free and one can be transported to the alleyways and undergrounds of the gritty Pacific Northwest city with us, a band of two, documenting everything and leaning into the absurd in the name of creation.
